“the very last one in a very long line”

A, B, and C

November 28th, 2006 · No Comments

I work for Company A. CL works for Company B and has been for 16 years (the first 6 years was actually with Company A). For the last 9 years, CL has worked at one of Company B’s outside branches. A week ago, CL found out that Company B is dissolving as of Dec 4, Company A would be absorbing B’s employees, and that A would no longer provide services to their outside branches (how dumb is that?). You still with me?

Enter Company C. Last night, C offered and hired employees from the outside branches to provide the same services. What was said last night by Company C has certainly put these people (including my wife) at ease. For the most part, they still have jobs. CL and I are thankful A didn’t take her in. Although I love my job, I am not happy with A’s methods, and CL certainly didn’t want to return to where it all began.
