17/365 - my new cell
I got a new cell phone yesterday, an LG VX5300. Nothing fancy. It has a basic VGA camera with a flash. I am not a big fan of the cameras on phones, so this was no big deal for me. It does not record video, nor does it play video. It doesn’t even play MP3’s. Why would I need that on my phone? I have an iPod that does this already, so it would be a useless function.
This one is Bluetooth enabled, as my previous Motorola was not. Will I get myself a cool Bluetooth headset? Maybe, but I rarely use my cell phone, so that would probably be a wasted purchase. I do need a case or a belt clip (I can’t believe it didn’t come with one). I hate putting my phone in my pocket, and I carry enough crap already.
CL and D each got a RAZR, well, because they look nice (or as D would say, “cool”). We were told to steer away from them as people have said they’ve had problems with them. The way I saw it was, if we run into problems, we lost nothing really because the phones were free.
