Sophia Sorry I’ve been away so long. I’m sure you all understand. Sophia’s 25 days old, and she’s running the show. She develops a pattern, then she breaks it. As any baby can be, she’s completely unpredictable. Being a new dad, I’m adjusting to all of this as best I can. I’m used to routines and schedules. There really is no such thing as a routine with a baby. I knew all this going in, having read the books and hearing the stories from people who’ve “been there, done that”. However, it’s easier knowing it than actually doing it.

Per the doctor’s office, we switched formulas last Saturday to help ease Sophia’s tummy aches. She’s doing much better, not needing to burp as much, but she has been spitting up more. Not that it all comes back up; it just stinks and it’s messy. For Christine, every day is “pajama day”. That makes a lot of sense as I have changed shirts multiple times this week.

She has somewhat improved in the “sleeping at night” department. The trick is getting her to finish a bottle in a timely manner. Doesn’t always happen. And when she falls asleep in your arms after feeding, she usually wakes up after you put her in bed. We’re still trying to figure this out, but we’ll get there (at least, I hope we do).

I’ve uploaded a batch of photos to Sophia’s Flickr set. Click on the photo above, or just go to my Flickr page.
